Spooky Fun Fall Weekend Recap
This weekend was one for the books. It started Friday night when friends from out of town came to visit. We had a few too many drinks and shots at The Green Room, but the night ended perfectly with all of us snuggled up on the couch watching a spooky movie. It was the ideal kickoff to a fall weekend.
Saturday we took a little adventure to my hometown, met up with friends, and spent the afternoon at our annual fall festival. There were so many great vendors selling home goods, food, and PICKLES (which I could never say no to). After a few hours of wandering, we had to run some errands for the Halloween party that night, and I somehow managed to stick to my list at Target. Truly spooky behavior.
We then drove two hours up to Easton, PA for the Halloween party, and let me tell you, it completely blew my mind. The house was decked out like a real haunted mansion, every corner covered in eerie details and incredible decorations. To make it even better, the couple hosting the party GOT ENGAGED. It was such a magical, love-filled, spooky night.
Eric and I really leaned into the theme with our costumes: the “Sunday Scaries.” Think work tomorrow, laundry, dishes, anxiety, dread—very spooky indeed.
Sunday, however, we didn’t let the scaries actually hit since we had Monday off. We spent the day adventuring around Philly, stopping at a flea market, a spooky beer garden, a Halloween-themed brewery, and a distillery before taking a much-needed nap. We ended the night at one of my favorite places, Eastern State Penitentiary, for their Halloween Nights experience.
It truly was a fabulous, fall-filled weekend that left me so happy and full. Today, we’re working from our favorite café before I head to a nail appointment, and I’m holding off the “Monday” scaries for just a little longer.
Thanks for reading and coming along for the ride. See you Wednesday when I’ll be sharing all things Ireland—plans, packing, and prep!
